When you think of pork ribs, you imagine the meat seasoned, soaked with barbecue sauce and grilled. Don’t you?
Well, if you like sweet and spicy, Korean style spicy food, this is a MUST recipe! The sauce is really Amazing!
Sweet and spicy Ribs |
What you need for about 20 ribs :
- 3 Tbs of Gochujang (korean spicy red pepper paste)
- 3 Tbs of spicy red pepper powder
- 1/3 Cup of cooking wine
- 1/3 Cup of soy sauce
- 1/3 Cup of sugar (syrup)
- 2 Tbs of mashed garlic
- 5 Cups of water
- 1-2 onions thinly sliced
- cheese (optional)
In a large oiled pan, spread out the ribs then top with thinly sliced onions.
Mix all the ingredients for the sauce. Pour the sauce over the ribs.
Let it cook for about 45 minutes on medium heat. You might need to add some water if it looks too dry.
Simmer on low heat for 10-15 minutes and if you want, you can add some cheese generously on top.
